课程摘要:TheincompressibleNavier-StokesEquation(NSE)isthefundamentalequationtodescribethemotionoftheincompressible,viscousfluidfromphysics.Itisusedtomodeltheweather,oceancurrents,waterflowinapipeandairflowaroundawing.CoupledwithMaxwell\'sequationandFokker-Planckequation,itcanbeusedtostudymagnetohydrodynamics(MHD)andcomplexfluidflowsincludingviscoelasticfluidsrespectively.NSEsarealsoofgreatinterestsfrommathematicalviewpoints,inwhichmanyfundamentalquestionsareyettobeunderstood.Theoutlineofthecoursemayconsistof:ThelinearStokesequation:Basictheorybehindbothsteadyanddynamiccases.ThesteadyNavier-Stokesequation:Existence,regularity,andstability.ThedynamicNavier-Stokesequation:Ladyzhenskya\'stheoryindimensiontwo,LerayandHopf\'stheoryindimensionthree,Serrin-Prodi\'sregularityanduniquenesstheorem,andCaffarelli-Kohn-NirenbergandEscauriaza-Seregin-Sverak\'sregularitytheories.

《工程科学前沿》课程宗旨:秉承中国科学技术大学建校的宗旨,钱学森先生以培养工程科学工作者为目标,创建了近代力学系,即目前工程科学学院的前身。多年来,工程科学在相关的基础研究和重大工程中所起的作用,以及我们毕业生的突出表现和成就,说明这个培养目标是正确的。为使同学们了解工程科学在我们国家重要工程中的成果,及在先进技术发展中发挥的作用,特举办《工程科学前沿》系列报告。旨在为工程科学学院本科一年级学生介绍工程科学在力学、精密机械、工程热物理及安全工程等领域的最新研究进展与研究前沿。考虑到一年级本科生对于专业和科研都是初次接触,本课程的开设方式特意以科普讲座的形式,以期提高学生对工程科学的兴趣。
