A Study on Multilevel Optimization and Applications in Power and Logistics Systems
Abstract: In this talk, we cover our research on bilevel and trilevel optimization models, including those for leader-follower game and two-stage robust optimization. A recent algorithm scheme on column-and-constraint generation and its extensions will be discussed and analyzed. Then, a few applications to address challenges arising in power systems and logistics systems will be presented. Finally, we highlight a new issue, i.e., endogenous uncertainty, that appears in bilevel optimization, and show that this issue could seriously impact the system performance and must be addressed.
