Bifurcation and complex dynamics of models for the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases
摘要： In this talk I will present some bifurcation studies of compartmental models for mosquito-borne diseases. I will first introduce models incorporating public health resources to study the transmission dynamics. The models exhibits multi-steady states and backward bifurcation as common features of mosquito-borne diseases. I will show that the cusp type of Bogdanov-Taken bifurcation of co-dimension 3 is the organizing center. Multiple limit cycles discovered in this model may help to reveal the recurrence mechanism of mosquito-borne diseases. Relaxation oscillations will also be discussed.
